Why is this a local BYOK and not deployed?

We built this in 5 hours and wanted to continue building it with the community (and don't have the money to deploy it and keep it running lol). We're broke college students.

What even is Kami?

Your AI GTM for early-stage startups. Tell it what you built. It helps you find customers or get your product in front of the right people. You approve every real send.

Is Kami just another chat wrapper?

Nope. Hermes agents plan, delegate, review, then act on live surfaces: real email, posts, and research. Not sandbox drafts that sit in a tab forever.

Will Kami send emails without me?

No. You approve every real send. Kami also never invents emails. Send stays blocked until a real contact email exists.

What can I ask Kami to do?

Two main jobs today: Find customers (segment → plan → find companies → draft email → you approve) or Create distribution (goal → opportunity queue → draft → you post or approve publish).

Do I need to self-host?

Yes for Community Edition. You run it fully locally with your Hermes agent set up (Node 20+, Git, Supabase, Hermes gateway + your keys). Open source either way.

Can I contribute?

Please. Skills, playbooks, connectors, UI, docs all welcome. Start with the repo or CONTRIBUTING.md and ship a clear before/after.
